More Tulip Festival Fun
I was feeling edgy & blue tonight and needed to get out for some fresh air. At the last minute, I grabbed my Tulip Festival pass in case I decided to check out its last concert. Am I ever glad I did! I caught about 45 minutes of Malajube. Man, there's nothing like head-banging, thumping-in-your-chest music to chase away the blues. They were so full of energy it was almost palpable!
After being primed like that, I would've loved to stay for The Dears' concert afterwards, especially since their description on the Tulip Festival Web site intrigued me, but I opted to come home a little earlier instead. Maybe next time.
It was a cold one this year. Last night, I couldn't help but wonder whether it was TulipFest or Winterlude, but I'm glad I got out. In addition to catching some great live music, it was just plain fun.
