Memories Of The Heart
This past weekend I heard the term Memories Of The Heart or in French, "Souvenirs du coeur", for the first time. My interpretation? These are special memories that are not only etched in our heads but in our hearts, to be remembered and felt for a long time; I suppose they could be good or bad.
The past few days spent at home in New Brunswick have been full of them: memories from my childhood, memories from my not so distant past, memories in the making. Sad memories, happy memories. It's almost overwhelming.
The weekend was a trip to a sometimes difficult, sometimes soothing past, sprinkled with precious moments lived in the present, and happy thoughts towards the future. I'd love to share some of it with you, but I don't even know where to start. I thought a good place might be an introduction to Memories Of The Heart.
