Where Has All The Water Gone?

They drained the Rideau Canal this weekend. I guess preparations for winter are officially underway. I was thrilled when they filled it up this past April; it was a telltale sign of warm sunny days and summer fun to come. Now my first summer in the city has come & gone and I feel sad. I wonder what the city has to offer in November, when everything is cold and grey? I guess it's all part of the urban living experiment, I'll just have to wait and see.
